Recipe: Easy Grilled Chicken Pita Pockets

Cooking does not have to be a Pain In the A** with this simple and delicious PITA recipe. In fact, these Grilled Chicken Pita Pockets are minimal prep, cooking time (with the 7-Minute Grill), and little to no dishes afterward. A meal your family will ask you to make again, and again. Whats better? Its healthy, aside from the cheese and ranch, which makes everything taste better. A real win-win for Chronically Cooking, Fast, Cheap, Healthy and Easy! Enjoy, right on time for the Labor Day weekend.

This was, and is again, my families favorite recipe. Since I am unable to grill now, I haven’t made Chicken Pitas for 10+ years. I decided to try this recipe, and am so glad that I did! I used the Oster 7-Minute Grill with DuraCeramic Coating and Digital Timer, Red/White, CKSTCG22R-ECO that I recently purchased. In the past, I tried recreating the recipe in the oven. It was not as delicious as grilled. Although, baking is always an option, just to keep that in mind.

The pros of Chicken Pitas: NO Dishes (except the grill plates)! Minimal hands on-thanks to the grill. Healthy and delicious. Just a few ingredients and customizable. I hope you enjoy the recipe as much as we do. Follow me for future updates and news by subscribing.

  • 1/2 Onion (Use about half of a whole onion, to taste. Thinly Sliced)
  1. Place the raw chicken and the Italian Dressing in a zip-lock bag, zip shut, shake to cover, and place back in the refrigerator. Marinate at least 4 hours.

Throw the bag of leftover Italian Dressing in the trash after the chicken is grilled. Work in batches if you have extra chicken to grill.

  7. Ding! Remove the chicken.

One Pot Meal: Chicken Broccoli Pasta Alfredo with Garlic

Chicken Broccoli Pasta Alfredo with Garlic

One Pot Meal- Chicken Broccoli Alfredo Pasta with Garlic
Servings: 4-6 | Time: About 30 Minutes

Recipe 1

Ingredients

1 Bag frozen (or fresh) chicken strips

1 Bag frozen (or fresh) broccoli

*1 Jar of Alfredo Sauce

2 Cloves garlic (crushed)

1 box pasta

2 tsp. garlic powder

3 Tablespoons butter or olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS: Boil the broccoli about 5 minutes or until done, drain. In the same pot, prepare the pasta according to the directions or al-dente, about 10 minutes. Drain. I dumped the pasta on top of the cooked broccoli in the colander. Don’t rinse. Melt the butter (or oil) until simmering, not smoking. Lightly sauté the garlic until fragrant in the butter or oil. Add the cooked chicken and cook thoroughly. With tongs or a fork, remove the chicken. Leaving the bits of chicken and oil in the pot. I placed the chicken with the broccoli and pasta. Add the Alfredo Sauce to the oil and stir well until warm. Season with garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste. Dump in the broccoli, pasta and chicken mix thoroughly. Serve.

Verdict: Family loved it. It took longer than I expected to make. Which is normal for me🗯️. Plenty of leftovers.
